A talented chef who worked his way up to becoming head chef at the award-winning Wheatsheaf in Sandbach is now delighting diners in Congleton.

Lukasz Borkowski, former head chef at The Wheatsheaf in Hightown, has moved across to the company's sister hotel, The Lion & Swan in Congleton.

Legendary Lukasz started off life as Sous Chef at the AA five star gold awarded gastropub and steakhouse in Sandbach.

He has now moved across as head chef at Ristorante Leone at The Wheatsheaf's sister hotel The Lion & Swan.

The Lion & Swan announced on social media: "Lukasz has been with the company for a long time now.

"He started as a Sous Chef at our sister hotel, The Wheatsheaf. He quickly progressed and took the lead and we thought he would be a perfect fit for Ristorante Leone at The Lion & Swan.

"He is the mastermind behind all of our menus and leads a team of nine dedicated chefs. On top of all of that, he and his wife are expecting a baby any day now.

"Keep up the great work chef and all the best for the most recent addition to the family!"

Lukasz says on his Instagram account "eating is a necessity, cooking is an art and "born to cook, born to eat".
