What's On in Sandbach this weekend

There's lots of live sport on in Sandbach to watch this weekend and the six weekly meet up of a social club open to new and existing members.

Rugby and football dominate the scene but if you want to walk off some of those extra pounds, there's plenty of open countryside.

Here are our top event picks for the coming days: Saturday January 15th Sandbach Rugby Union Football Club has a full programme of games on this Saturday. Whilst the 1st XV travel to Shropshire to face Salop RUFC Bradwall Road hosts both the 2nd and 3rd who each face Lymm RFC in a Cheshire Derby. Meanwhile Sandbach United Football Club in Hind Heath Road are at home to New Mills .Kick-off is 3pm. The Ramblers are in search of two wins in a row, and three wins from the last four league games against high flying New Mills who are currently second in the league. It is likely to be an entertaining game and also a tough fixture for The Ramblers who will appreciate and benefit from a strong home support. The Swan and Chequers in Sandbach has Footy Saturdays with live sport on TV from 12pm. Sunday January 16th New Year, new start - feeling like you need to make some new friends and get out and about? Sandbach Social Club, a group, which has dozens of members, has its six weekly meet-up at The George pub in Sandbach at 3pm. The club has an active Whatsapp group and organisers regular trips to the theatre, live music and meals out. If you want to join, turn up at 3pm on Sunday and June Radford will be on the door at the Wetherspoons pub to greet you.
