Sandbach United Football Club is looking for a new first team manager after Andy Hockenhull stepped down after nine years at the helm.

Andy took over in 2012, guiding the Hind Heath Club into the NorthWest Counties League finishing in the top five in the first two seasons.

He also won the Crewe and District Cup in 2016 and back-to-back NWCFL Division 1 cups in 2019 and 2020, becoming only the second team in the competitions history to do so.

This season he also guided the team to the Third round of the FA Vase for the first time in the club's history.

Chairman Peter Colclough said, "Andy has been a great servant to the club over the years and we cannot thank him enough for what he has done.

"It's been a pleasure working alongside him and everyone at the club wishes him all the best going forward".

Declan Swan has been appointed as Caretaker Manager until a new first team manager is found.
