A Sandbach artist has spread some of her pixie dust and created a winter wonderland at the historic Swan & Chequers in Sandbach.

The award-winning pub has windows filled with festive cheer – thanks to Sandbach-based artist, Victoria Holland from Victoria's Art Studio.

Windows at the revamped town centre pub are full of Christmas messages from 'Ho, ho hold my beer' to 'It's the most wonderful time for a drink'.

Victoria, who is renowned for her window creations, many featuring on shop windows all over Sandbach and nearby towns, said she was delighted to be asked to do the Swan & Chequers' windows.

"I'm so pleased with the result. The pub's all ready for the festive partying to begin," she said.  

The pub recently won the 'best bar' in the prestigious Northern Design Awards 2023 awards as we revealed here

But the festive cheer at the Swan & Chequers isn't just on the outside – the popular pub and eaterie has launched a series of events for the festive period.

Children are top of the list for its 'Breakfast with Santa' as revealed in our 'What's On' section here

For £12 per child, children can join Santa for breakfast on 9th, 10th, 16th, 17th, 23rd and 24th December and grown-ups can join in too with festive pancakes and toppings!
