It's a wrap! Sandbach's famous Santa sleigh has had a bit of a makeover
Eagle-eyed residents might have noticed that Sandbach's annual Santa sleigh currently doing the rounds in the town is a bit shinier!
The cheery vehicle which carries members of Sandbach Ladies Circle and other charity groups spreading joy and collecting charity donations has been revamped.
And it's thanks to Ettiley Heath-based wrap and sign company, D9 Signs & Wrap ID who have kindly given the festive vehicle a new look.
A spokesperson from D9 Signs & Wrap ID based at The Counting House in Sandy Lane said: "Some stickers had started peeling off, the wrong sponsors were on so we gave it a new look.
"We tweaked the logo and donated our time and services free of charge. It's such a good cause and raises so much money for the community.
"I remember it as a child going round Sandbach and we want this wonderful tradition to continue."
Sandbach Ladies Circle, who co-ordinate and organise the mammoth task of running the Christmas float, have set up a Facebook page here so residents know when it's visiting their area.
The Santa sleigh route is funded by a tombola stall held at the Sandbach Makers Market and the sleigh's scout car received a new sound system.
Christmas carols filled the air for 13 days from December 1st until December 13th.
"Last year, in total, the sleigh raised just over £4000 which was distributed among the supporting organisations and will be used by Sandbach Ladies Club to deliver future charitable community activities.
"We want to say a huge thank you to D9 Signs & Wrap ID who have done amazing job giving the sleigh a well needed facelift."
