A Sandbach teacher who has left a lifelong memory to sport in the town and further afield has hung up his boots - after retiring from the school he has taught at for 32 years.
Director of Sport at Sandbach School, Simon Robertson, who inspired so many students further with their supporting careers, has retired from the Crewe Road school after a life-time of teaching sport.
And the school and local sports clubs have paid homage to the man who has put many children on to the road to success with their sporting careers.
A spokesperson for Sandbach School said: "The last week of term is also the last week at Sandbach School for our Director of Sport, Simon Robertson, as he retires after 32 years.
"In his time at Sandbach School, Simon has shown tireless commitment to physical education and school sport.
