Forget Sir Paul McCartney's outstanding performance at Glastonbury last night - the legendary Matt Ford was in Sandbach for the Viva La Vegas concert at Sandbach School.

Voted 'Best UK Male Big Band Vocalist' and nominated alongside Jamie Cullum in the inaugural Ronnie Scott's Jazz Awards, Matt delighted the audience at the outdoor concert last night.

Matt, who has made four BBC Proms appearances with the John Wilson Orchestra – 2011, 2013, 2016 and 2018 - was singing with Sandbach School Big Band.

Concert goers took picnic blankets and chairs to the amazing outdoor show where former pupils from the school, which has a renowned music department, also performed.

Congratulations to all those who took part ... a great evening was had by all!
