Pupils, staff and governors at Brereton Church of England Primary School are celebrating following its latest Ofsted inspection which described the school as "a joyful place to learn".
The report here celebrates Brereton's ethos, recognising the school's commitment to ensuring every child feels able to flourish.
Inspectors praised the school's caring and inclusive environment, where children are supported to thrive both academically and personally.
They found that "pupils flourish at Brereton School because they are helped to feel safe and valued as individuals".
A strong culture of safeguarding was recognised as a key strength, with inspectors noting that leaders and governors have established "an open culture in which safeguarding is everyone's responsibility", helping to ensure that "pupils are made safer and feel safe."
The report also praised the school's commitment to inclusion, stating that "leaders create a culture in which every pupil is included in school life" and that "pupils are supported well and expected to succeed."
Inspectors highlighted the support available for pupils with additional needs, including 'The Kabin', a safe and nurturing space that helps children feel supported and confident.
Brereton's dedication to developing the whole child was another area recognised by inspectors, who stated: "Leaders have a deep commitment to developing the whole child. This ambition is reflected clearly in the school's ethos and values.
"Pupils benefit from a wide range of experiences that broaden their horizons and help them to develop independence, confidence and teamwork skills."
The report also found that pupils achieve well, noting that "by the time pupils leave Year 6, their achievement compares favourably to national outcomes."
Headteacher, Natasha Wood, said: "We are absolutely delighted with this inspection outcome, which celebrates everything that makes Brereton such a special place to learn.
"The report recognises our commitment to ensuring every child feels safe, valued and included, while also achieving their very best.
"I am incredibly proud of our pupils, staff and families, whose hard work, positive attitudes and support have contributed to this success."
Neil Dixon, CEO of Chester Diocesan Academies Trust (CDAT), added: "This report highlights the caring culture, strong leadership and high aspirations that are evident throughout Brereton CofE Primary School.
"It is particularly pleasing to see inspectors recognise the school's commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and developing the whole child.
"We congratulate the staff, pupils and wider school community on this achievement and look forward to supporting the school as it continues to go from strength to strength."
The inspection also recognised the benefits of being part of Chester Diocesan Academies Trust, noting that the school benefits from the support, expertise and professional collaboration available across the Trust.
