A defibrillator and bleed kit cabinet are being installed on the outside of the Nationwide Building Society in Penda Way, Sandbach.

Cheshire East Council's planning department has given the go-ahead here for the plan.

A report included in the application states: "The proposed development is acceptable in principle and would support the continued operation of the existing use within the settlement boundary of Sandbach.

"Owing to its modest scale, appropriate siting and design, the proposal would not harm the character or appearance of the site or surrounding area.

"It has been demonstrated that there would be no unacceptable impact on neighbouring residential amenity, and no highway safety concerns arise."
