A plant and vegetable nursery near Sandbach held a packed Christmas market in aid of Guide Dogs for the Blind.

There were around 20 stalls at yesterday's (Sunday's) Christmas Market at Spark Lane Nursery.

They included retired lecturer, Majorie Somerville, from Rode Heath who paints glass jars . She was at the event selling her glassware. Her work is described in our interview here .

She said: "It was a long day and we were shattered by the time we left but it was a very productive one."
