A former Sandbach woman is celebrating her first year in business with her company which prepares and delivers healthy meals to your door.

Caroline Terrington and her partner Chris Stretch are behind the local nutritional firm myPREPpal.

The businesswoman grew up in Sandbach and is a former pupil of Sandbach High School and Sixth Form College, only moving to Bollington near Macclesfield two years ago.

She runs the booming business with with partner Chris who prepare meals so residents have a menu of 15 dishes per week, that you can order to your home or place of work.

The innovative idea takes the hassle out of a working lunch, and can deliver within a ten mile radius of Bollington although the company is planning to widen delivery over the next few months to as far as Sandbach.

They cater for all specific dietary requirements, including coeliacs, vegetarians and vegans.

"We're a meal prep service to help busy people who want to eat in a healthy way", said Chris.

"We understand how busy everything can be, people have kids, they have to get to work. But we can take the worry out of getting your lunch.

"We offer balanced meals, and we can even cater to those who want a low calorie option."

All of their products come with a macro-counted label, so people who are calorie counting to lose weight or gain muscle don't have to play guesswork in what goes in their lunches.

The business started this time last year. Both are chefs who have come from a hospitality background working in pubs and restaurants. But have now thrived after going it alone with their new venture.

"It doesn't feel like it has been a year," added Chris.

"When we first started out, we targeted the offices in Adelphi Mill and thought 'what do people need that they can't get in a meal deal from a shop."

"We wanted to offer a nutritious, filling alternative to that."

The Bollington residents, who cook from a site in the town, boasts the best food hygiene rating possible.

"We believe we are the most affordable option around as we haven't decided to put our prices up", said Caroline.

"It costs £35 for five meals. £7 per meal. We sell it in blocks of five as we encourage people to eat the best they can for their body to help them in their working life.

"If you want more than just lunch, we can do breakfast, lunch and dinner plus a snack five days a week for £95.

"Or you can go on a monthly plan for either option where you can save."

Over the past year, they have offered over 200 different dishes, even more if you include the meat or gluten-free variations of some of the dishes.

"Our best sellers are salt and pepper chicken, sticky beef or our Italian-style meatballs," added Caroline.

"We change the menu, we keep our best-sellers and have four to six new specials which changes over the weeks and months.

"You order via Google Form so customers can leave feedback on the dishes and any dishes they'd like to see, but people like that there is a list of regular options for them to choose from."

Both chefs are from Cheshire, with Caroline from Sandbach and Chris from Lymm. They decided to live in Bollington as they they wanted the Peak District on their doorstep.

The pair haven't looked back since they started working for themselves, and are grateful for their diners support.

They get up at five in the morning to cook dishes, and do deliveries from nine.

They will deliver as far as Mobberley and Poynton, so anywhere within a ten mile radius from Bollington.

You can also pick-up their meals from like-minded businesses around town, like independent gyms across Macclesfield and Bollington.

Their packages are fully-recyclable and compostable, as part of myPREPpal's ethos to avoid using plastic wherever possible.

You can even heat the boxes the meals come in straight in the oven or microwave. All of their dishes - barring salad - can be put in the freezer.
