Man, 38, left with 'life changing' injuries following firearms incident near Sandbach

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 38-year-old man was been left with 'life-changing' injuries following a firearms incident near Sandbach.

They were called to Dragons Lane, Moston at 9 pm on Wednesday (November 20th) to reports of a firearms discharge. Police say they found a 38-year-old man with injuries to his chest and eye.

He was taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries are thought to be life changing.

Police remained on scene throughout the evening and into yesterday (Thursday) and are continuing enquiries today (Friday). They say a visible policing presence will remain in the area.

 Superintendent Claire Jesson, Eastern Area Policing Commander said: "I understand this report will cause residents some concern, please be assured that my officers will be in the area providing a high visibility presence.

 "If you have any information regarding the incident, please contact us via 101 or the website quoting IML-1967229."
