Man charged following firearms incident in nearby Middlewich

A 43-year-old man who was arrested following a firearms incident in Middlewich has now been charged.

Andrew Dawson, was arrested at around 10.37am on Monday 15 January after officers from Crewe CID conducted a warrant at an address in Middlewich.

The 43-year-old of Pinfold Lane, Middlewich, was subsequently charged with the possession of a prohibited weapon, namely a firearm and the possession a firearm during 5-year period following suspended sentence of 3 months or more being passed.

Dawson appeared at Chester Magistrates' Court on Tuesday 16 January where he was remanded in custody.

He is next set to appear at Chester Crown Court on Tuesday 13 February.
