Man charged with assault by beating and criminal damage in Sandbach

A 46-year-old man has been charged with assault by beating and criminal damage following an investigation by Sandbach Beat Team.

Richard Wharton of no fixed address appeared at Chester Magistrates' Court on Saturday (17 January) to face the charges and was remanded in custody to next appear at Warrington Combined Court on 22 January.

The charges relate to an incident in Meadow Brown Place in Sandbach on 16 January where a woman was assaulted and a car was damaged.
