Man charged with causing death by dangerous driving on M6 near Sandbach

A 29-year-old man has been charged with causing the death of a woman by dangerous driving on the M6 in Cheshire in 2022.

Daniel Barlow, of Burnley Road, Crawshawbooth, Rossendale, was arrested on Friday 2 December, 2022.

He has since been issued with a postal requisition ordering him to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Monday 4 November 2024 to answer charges of causing death by dangerous driving, two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, and making a false statement to obtain a driving licence.

The charges relate to a collision which occurred at around 5.15pm on Friday 2 December 2022 on the M6 northbound between junction 16 to junction 17 near Sandbach.

Chloe Williams, 19, from Dudley, was taken to hospital with serious injuries and sadly died.
