An historic Sandbach pub has reopened its doors after a £140,000 refit.

The Old Hall, a Grade 1 listed building, dating back to 1656, reopened recently after being closed for 10 days.

It has had a fresh lick of paint inside, new decoration, lamps to give it a brighter look with mood lighting.

Manager, Hannah Wilkinson, said: "We just hope everyone enjoys the makeover as much as we do.

"We think it looks stunning. We've introduced William Morris pieces and there are new curtains and other bits of new upholstery."

The building, was built on the site of a previous manor house which was extended.

Brunning and Price bought it in 2010, restored it and it was reopened by the pub group in 2011.
