A man has been released under investigation pending further enquiries following an incident in Sandbach last week.

Armed police helped search part of Elworth last Tuesday (March 11th) after reports a man was allegedly seen acting suspiously.

Residents in the George Street area said that around six to seven police cars blocked off the road. (Photo: Nub News)

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said today: "He has been released under investigation pending further enquiries."
