Sandbach Market is taking part in the "Love your Local Market" initiative which starts on Friday (15 May) celebrating local markets across the country and the contribution they make to communities.

The national campaign, run by the National Association of British Market Authorities (NABMA) which runs until 30 May, celebrates local markets across the country and highlights the contribution they make to our communities.

Throughout the fortnight, Sandbach indoor Market will be highlighting a number of their longest-standing stallholders and the goods and services they provide to Sandbach.

The Market was recently awarded its 15th year annual membership of the 'Real Deal', demonstrating the Town Council's commitment to fake-free trading as we reported here .

A Sandbach Town Council spokesperson said: "We are very proud of our wonderful local market and the diverse range of gifts, goods and treats the stallholders supply to their visitors every week.

"Our independent traders bring together a unique offer to Sandbach and we encourage everyone to support our local market and shop locally.

"Several traders have been attending the market for 30, 40 or even 50 years, some carrying on the traditions of their parents and grandparents. All of our market traders have a passion for Sandbach Market and offer fantastic value for money.

"Sandbach has held a Thursday market in the town centre from before Queen Elizabeth I granted the town its charter in 1579. The weekly market offers a wide variety of quality products at great prices.
