They will be joined by Holmes Chapel rower, Emily Ford, a bronze medal winner at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Tom and Ben will outline their journey from Elworth Cricket Club in Sandbach to the England rugby team.

Sandbach Mayor, Councillor Ann Nevitt who spearheaded the event said: "I was talking to the boys' grandfather who happens to have been a doctor in Sandbach when I first moved here in the 60's.

"I suggested that it would be nice them to come to Sandbach and give a talk to the under 16's about achieving success in sport and about their recent tour of Japan and New Zealand.

"They were happy to do this and after contacting Sale Sharks the event was born. We are very excited about it and we hope it will inspire other young people in Sandbach to reach for the skies.

"The young people of Sandbach are getting this talk with a question and answer session and photos."

The event takes place at Sandbach Town Hall today (Thursday) with the doors opening at 6 pm. There will be a question and answer session.
