Medals and memorabilia belonging to WW1 Sandbach soldier go under the hammer

Medals and memorabilia from a Sandbach British soldier who died in the First World War are going under the hammer at a specialist auction next week.

The 1915 Star trio with memorial plaque, badges and scroll belonging to Private Harry Profit, 2nd Battalion, Cheshire Regiment from Sandbach are being sold on Wednesday (November 14th).

Also included in the lot is an old brown suitcase containing photographs and original documents belonging to Pte Profit who died of wounds on 30th July, 1915.

Buried at Niederzwehren Cemetery in Kassel the lot is being sold by Ipswich-based auctioneers of coins and militaria by Lockdales Auctioneers and Valuers.

It has an estimate of between £200 and £240 and is information about the live auction can be found here
