Meet the beauty business owner who has launched a group to help empower women

Beauty business owner, Lillie Pragnell, knows a thing or too about finding time to look after yourself while working full-time and being a mum and launching Elite Beauty.
The busy entrepreneur has two children of her own plus two step children - all aged from seven to 15 - but still manages to find time to think of others and herself.
For as Scottish-born Lillie will tell you, we need to look after ourself first and ensure we're in tip-top condition both mentally and physically before we can look after others.

She has launched The Self-Care Society, primarily a Facebook group for women, just a year after starting her own beauty business, Elite Beauty, from a studio in her own garden in Middlewich. The group has members from far and wide inlcuding the Sandbach area.
"These days we fit so much into our days as mothers and working women that it's easy to forget about ourselves," said Lillie, who started out in the beauty industry aged just 18 and has worked in spas and salons in Scotland before moving to England.
"It's so important to find time for yourself and do what you enjoy. The Self-Care Society is about ensuring we are cared for and nurtured both from inside and outside."

Already The Self-Care Society, whose Facebook page is here has 125 members who can either stay as part of the Facebook group or take out other memberships which give access to some of Lillie's beauty treatments.
"The Self-Care Society is a community designed to help busy women – especially mums – reclaim time for themselves, reduce stress, and prioritise their wellbeing," added Lillie.
"It's a mix of support, education, and simple self-care practices, with the goal of helping women feel less overwhelmed and more empowered.

The timing feels especially significant as mental health concerns are on the rise, and so many women are struggling to balance everything.
"Through the Society, we're providing practical tools, facials, workshops, and online support to encourage women to protect their energy, set boundaries, and build confidence in themselves."
Members get help to plan walks, ensure they are eating the correct food and getting enough sleep.
"It's about looking after yourself and working together to help each other," said Lillie who ensures she has regular walks.
