Nestled in the Cheshire countryside is a haven of peace and tranquility called 'The Holistic Hideway'.

Sitting at her desk is the hideaway's ray of sunshine, Jess Oliver-Clewes, who has launched the 'Seek Your Soul' community to help other women feel empowered and happy.

Dressed in a brightly coloured mustard jacket with a beaming smile, Jess is the epitome of happiness but it hasn't always been that way.

For the 30-year-old suffered from anxiety as a child and it's taken her years to rid herself of something which was eating away at her soul and stopping her from being happy.

"I was always an anxious child," said Jess, who is a life coach as well as being trained in a whole range of holistic skills which she offers to clients at her peaceful sanctuary in Smallwood near Sandbach.

Jess started healing her soul through a range of things but found exercise and getting out into the countryside were the two things which really helped.

She started learning aerial hoop skills, often used in circuses, and now teaches them at The Fitness Collab in Kidsgrove.

"They help you gain body confidence. You can't be covered up as you need your skin out to grip. You're at all sorts of angles and it does change your mindset," said Jess.

"The classes help women to boost their confidence. Others at the classes cheer people on and it's a fun experience. There's something empowering about being around other women.

"It really helps your upper body and it's a great way of meeting new people and learning a new skill."

Jess noticed that other women were also feeling how she used to feel, anxious about certain situations so she decided to launch the 'Seek Your Soul Fitness and Wellbeing' community. Their Facebook page is here

"Women's confidence can be sometimes knocked very easily. Low confidence and anxiety does manifest itself into physical ailments.

She wants other women to literally 'fuel their fire'. This could mean taking part in a variety of activties from wild swimming to walks in the countryside to help energise the mind and body.

The wellbeing community group meets up at various venues across the venue including The Bull's Head pub at Smallwood to meet up and help empower others.

"You are your own cheerleader but it does help getting together with other women and supporting each other. Ultimately it's doing a combination of things. "
