Two tables and chairs sit neatly outside while the scenic awaiting their coffee-loving customers while the scenic Winterley Pool across the road creates the perfect view for customers.

Inside you're greeted by 'cosy warm and welcoming' earthy tones and clever seating which together evoke a great Scandinavian vibe.

This is Beans Winterley Coffee House in Crewe Road - the newest place in our area to enjoy a coffee and catch up with friends or family.

Thirty-two-year-old Amey Bennett-Borg from Sandbach is the proud owner and she has something of a passion for good coffee, food and company.

"I spent a while travelling and got married in June in Greece and decided to open a coffee house. I wanted something chilled and relaxed serving excellent coffee and food.

"I'd always spoken about owning a coffee shop then the chance came up. I'm so pleased with the result and we've had positive support since opening. We've been overwhelmed."

Amey's aim when launching Beans Winter Coffee House - housed in the same building as the former Kazzy's Kitchen - was to create a welcoming atmosphere providing excellent coffee and using local suppliers and food.

As she says: "The aim was to create a place for all to enjoya calm, comforting atmosphere with excellent coffee, delicious food and high quality service."

It's very much a family affair at Beans with Amey's aunt, Rachel and cousin Sophie both working there. Amey's mum, Claire Bennett, also lives nearby in Winterley.

Amey, who lives in Elworth, worked in human resources in London and went to South Cheshire College before doing a degree in events management and entertainment. She's delighted with how the coffee house business has taken off.

Looking at the menu and food and drink on offer it's easy to see why the new business has been such a hit with locals.

"We're open Wednesday to Sunday at the moment but that may be reviewed. We're delighted with how the first couple of weeks have gone and look forward to the rest of the year and beyond," said Amey.

More details about the business are available on Facebook here and Instagram here.
