Firefighters release person trapped in a car following two vehicle accident

Firefighters had to release a person from a car following a two vehicle collision earlier today (Tuesday).
Two fire engines from Sandbach and Congleton went to the accident at 7.05 am on the Holmes Chapel Road in Somerford.
Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service said one person was physically trapped and after being released was placed into the care of paramedics.
A spokesperson from Cheshire Police said: "Shortly after 7am on Tuesday 26 August, police were called to reports of a collision on the A54 Holmes Chapel Road, in Somerford.
"Officers attended and found the collision involved two cars, a Nissan Qashqai and a Volvo V40.
"There were no reports of any serious injuries and the scene was cleared by 9am."
