Meet the two young business entrepreneurs laying firm foundations for the future
Property investment and buying and renting out houses is a notoriously risky business but two young entrepreneurs from Sandbach seem to have broken the mould.
Jack Beaumont and Jonathan Hearn have set up two companies one buying and renting out properties and the other an Airbnb business and the other a letting agency specialising in serviced accommodation.
And the duo, both aged just 26 years old who met at school in Sandbach, now have 55 properties to rent out and 25 Airbnbs which they look after.
Jack and Jonathan run Sigma Stays here and Sigma Investment Group here .
Their property investment business, which has homes in Crewe and Stoke-on-Trent, is busier than ever and they expect 2025 to be even busier.
This business helps property investors to build a property porfolio on a hands-free basis, with no prior experience or knowledge of the industry.
It is currently based at the Railway Exchange in Weston Road Crewe.
"I always wanted to get into property investment," said Jack, who has a degree in Economics from Nottingham Trent University and lives in Sandbach.
"I started planning the business while at university in 2020 and it's just gone from there. We just keep on growing."
Jack's business partner, Jonathan, who also lives in Sandbach, started the business with Jack in 2020, coming on board full-time in 202. was a site engineer and joined the business in June 2022.
"We pride ourselves on providing and maintaining high spec accommodation and rentals for short term guests and long term tenants in the area.
"We ensure all of our tenants are well looked after and live in high quality homes."
"We're busier than ever helping out so many companies from Bentley and staff at Leighton Hospital.
"Crewe is an area where lots of development is taking place. We provide win win solutions to landlords and construction firms working in the area needing short term accommodation and have also accommodated companies working with Bentley, Leighton Hospital and several other businesses."
Most people have watched programmes like 'Homes under the Hammer' where viewers buy rundown properties to do up and rent out.
Both Jack and Jonathan, who met at Sandbach School, have a similar eye for property and buy, refurbish, refinance and rent out properties once completed."
"It's a fast-changing market," said Jack. "Lots of property investors don't have the time to search the market and then carry the project through to renting out.
"That's where our expertise comes in. We help investors to decide on the best property investment strategy.
"We then identify a suitable property for the client to purchase, ;provide any finance brokers, surveyors, solicitors or service providers needed throughout th buying process then co-ordinate and oversee any refurbishment required on the property.
"Once completed, we identify the best letting strategy for the client and let the property on their behalf."
The rental part of the duo's business is as busy as the Airbnb side where the same exacting standards are delivered to customers.
"All kinds of people rent our Airbnbs from people coming to the area for one or two nights for pleasure or work and for longer lettings," said Jonathan.
"The modern way for contractors to operate nowadays when working out of area is to book houses as opposed to hotels. The cost per person is cheaper in lour serviced accommodation as opposed to hotels because we can often house 6 - 8 contractors per house.
"Along with this, contractors can self-cater with the benefit of having a living room to socialise or have meetings in if required.
"All of our short term let properties are fully furnished and serviced with laundry changeovers, cleaning and stock for guests."
