Members of a group coming together to help Sandbach community organisations are being urged to adopt a community safety charter.
The group, with a generic title 'Working together for Sandbach', met recently and have already announced their next meeting in September.
Representatives from groups gathered at Sandbach Rugby Club in Bradwall Road for another meeting on August 15th.
And now the group, facilitated by Sandbach Co-op Pioneer, Arnie Laing, is to meet again on Monday, September 19th.
Mr Laing told the last meeting that adopting a community safety charter would help combat any toxic online abuse.
"We want to promote a culture whereby individuals feel comfortable to speak out and discuss things," he said.
"The more we promote community safety, the better it is for everyone."
At the last meeting, a variety of groups and organisations spoke from Sandbach Netball Club, Cheshire East's Care4CE, Sandbach U3A and Sandbach Ladies' Circle
At the next meeting, the focus will be on sports clubs and leisure groups plus support needed by organisations on Sandbach.
Sandbach Nub News told in May here https://sandbach.nub.news/news/local-news/new-community-organisation-could-be-set-up-in-sandbach-following-successful-meeting-134838 how the first meeting was attended by around 30 people, again chaired by Co-op Pioneer, Arnie Laing.
September's meeting takes place at Sandbach Rugby Club in Bradwall Road at 7.30 pm. All are welcome.
When Co-op Members buy selected Co-op branded products and services, 2p for every pound spent goes into their Co-op Membership account and Co-op gives the same to support community organisations and local causes.
Co-op Membership helps support Co-op's national charity partners and Local Community Fund causes. See https://www.coop.co.uk/membership
