Friday, August 26th

The Cheshire Cheese in Wheelock has a DJ from 9pm playing the decades – 70s, 80s and 90s.

The Black Cat Blues Band are at The Lion pub from 9.30 pm. Rock, blues and a few modern anthems chucked in for good luck.

Saturday, August 27th 

It's Hassall Summer fete today (Saturday). There's classic vehicles, food, ice cream, a bouncy castle, family games, classic tractors and much more.

The fun starts at 2 pm and goes on until 5 pm at Day Green House, Hassall. Entry is £2 for adults and under 12s are free and it's cash only.

The Old Hall in Sandbach has an action-packed weekend planned following on from their Queen's Jubilee celebration success.

There will be the return of the Camden Brewery and Gin bar with the addition of cider and a cask ale.

There will also be live music over the weekend with some summery dishes to tickle the taste buds.

Sandbach United are away tonight to Abbey Hey.

The Lion has Pete Garlick aka Pete G bringing his Electro 80's experience from 9.30.

The Cheshire Cheese in Wheelock has Acoustic HD from 9pm.

Sunday, August 27st

If running is your thing, Sandbach Striders is a running club for all abilities based out of Sandbach Rugby Club on Bradwall Road.

They meet Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights and Sundays at 9.30 am the latter for a 'long slow run' to be confirmed.

At the Cheshire Cheese in Wheelock, there's a charity family fun day from 2 pm – 6 pm with a children's disco, garden games and much more.

At The Lion, it's Super Soul Sunday Funday with gameshows, soul music and greyhound Racing – over 18's only.

Sandbach United are away to New Mills with a 3 pm kick-off.
