Motorbikers from the Royal British Legion Bikers branch will ride into Sandbach tomorrow (Saturday) to launch the town's annual Poppy Appeal.

Last year, around 40 bikers from the branch ride came to Sandbach for the event at the War Memorial.

Tomorrow the event is scheduled for 2.45 pm when a short service will be held to mark the occasion.

More than 100 collectors will be out collecting on behalf of the Sandbach branch of the RBL in the lead up to Remembrance Sunday.

This includes collections at Waitrose as well as Sandbach M6 Services north and southbound.

Earlier in the day, there's the launch of a new breakfast club for veterans taking place at the Military Arms in Sandbach from 9 am.

Organised by the Royal British Legion's Sandbach branch and Cheshire East Council, veterans and friends will be able to enjoy a small breakfast for £3 or a large breakfast for £5.
