A Sandbach mum and her family have created an amazing display for Halloween to cheer people up and put a smile on their faces.

Every Halloween, Heidi Weaver, who owns Heidi's Tip Top Shine cleaning company, puts on a display outside her house in Wheelock.

Usually, Heidi asks for donations to chosen charities but this year, she has decided to give that a miss, due to the cost-of-living crisis.

Instead, Heidi, who lives in Barnton Way, is offering people a 10 per cent discount off a clean with her company.

All they have to do is take a selfie in front of the display outside her house and send it to her.

Heidi said: "We started doing this about seven years ago when we first moved here and it's just got bigger and bigger.

"We decided that due to the current financial circumstances, we won't be collecting donations for charity.

"We hope it will help people 's mental health by putting a smile on their face and that's what it's all about."

Usually, Heidi collects money for the Friends of Sandbach Park, Cancer Research or Mencap but has given that a miss this year.

The mother-of-four, who has two children aged six and eight plus two grown-up children, says she has received so many compliments about the display.

"Everyone loves it and we've had so much help putting it together."

Owners of an Airbnb which Heidi's company cleans got the bales of straw which were kindly delivered by Bidlea while Woore Fruit Farm donated the 15 or so pumpkins.

"We're so lucky to have had this support and now we just want people to come and enjoy the display," said Heidi.
