Motorists delayed on the M6 southbound near Sandbach after crash involving vehicle towing a horse box

Motorists faced delays yesterday morning (Sunday) after a car was in collision with a vehicle towing a horse box.

The accident happened on the M6 southbound between junctions 18 and 17 at 5.10 am.

A spokesperson from Cheshire Police said: "No one, including the horse, was injured. The road was reopened just after 8am."
