Motorists faced long delays today (Thursday) after a three vehicle collision on the M6 northbound between junctions 17 and 18.

Cheshire Police said they went to the scene at 10.25 am today and found that there had been a collision between two HGVs and a red Ford Puma.

A spokesperson from Cheshire Police said: "The driver and a passenger in the Ford Puma are currently being treated for minor injuries.

"Road closures are in place and motorists should expect delays in the area. Drivers are advised to avoid the area while emergency services work to clear the scene."
