Motorists driving from Crewe to Sandbach And Sandbach to Crewe today (Monday) and tomorrow face diversions due to gulley cleaning and essential maintenance on the Wheelock and Haslington bypasses.

Wheelock bypass from the Wheelock roundabout to the Waitrose roundabout was closed from about 9.30 am today (Monday) until around 3 pm while gulley cleaning and essential maintenance is carried out.

Tomorrow (Tuesday) the work will rivert to the Haslington side of the bypass with the road again closed from around 9.30 am until around 3 pm.

Diversions are in place and journeys will take longer so motorists are being urged to allow extra time.
