A new group for women in Sandbach has got off to a flying start after around 40 women attended the launch.

Teacher, Charlotte Bell has launched HerSpace Sandbach - the third 'chapter' of the social group.

The enterprising woman started HerSpace Congleton followed by HerSpace Macclesfield in summer last year.

Now Charlotte and her team have a third branch, which will cover Sandbach, Holmes Chapel and Middlewich.

A launch event was held at Miola in Lodge Road on Friday night and now several women have signed up for group.

"It can be really isolating if you move around the country with your job or when your grown-up children leave home," said Charlotte.

"At the moment, we have a culture where we have lots of subscriptions and you sign up to a gym or creative class but you have to continue that activity.

"There's not much out there that gives you the variety that HerSpace offers, and that is why we're taking off.

"Which is why our aim is to try and connect women and help create new friendships."

The Sandbach chapter has a number of events planned, including a pub quiz, chips and chatter night, diamond painting and journaling.
