One person trapped following two-vehicle crash near Bear's Head

One person was trapped in their vehicle and police, firefighters and paramedics were called to scene following a crash near Sandbach today. (Monday)

Police say the casualty is not thought to have sustained serious injuries following the collision in Newcastle Road South.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "At 11.19 am on Monday 23rd January, police were called to reports of a collision near to the Bear's Head in Brereton.

"Police attended and found a red Suzuki Swift had collided with a white van and a hedge. The driver of the car was trapped as a result of the collision.

"Firefighters attended the scene and released the casualty. They are not believed to have sustained serious injuries."

Firefighters used specialist equipment to remove the casualty.
