Sandbach United has unveiled its new kit and revealed part of it pays homage to both Sandbach's rich heritage and the club's history.

The kit, which is being rolled out to around 1,000 players at the Hind Heath Road club and football facility, was unveiled before last weekend's friendly match.

Chairman, Simon Tillott, said it was a "significant investment" and the young players at the club had helped craft and choose the designs for the kit.

He also thanked sponsors who had helped fund the new kit and everyone else who had contributed to the launch of the new kit.

He said: "It's a bespoke kit and is made to order and it's thanks to the support of our sponsors and the input of everyone who has helped, including our young players who helped choose the designs."

The green colour pays homage to the club's history, 'The Ramblers' while Saxon Crosses, for which Sandbach is famous for, appear on the blue kit.

In 2004, Sandbach Ramblers merged with Sandbach Albion to create Sandbach United FC. The new club retained "The Ramblers" as its nickname in recognition of the original club's heritage.

Sandbach United's first team currently plays in the North West Counties Football League (NWCFL) Division One South.
