One person is rescued by firefighters after falling into a silo

One fire engine from Crewe went to rescue a person who had fallen into a silo near Sandbach.

The accident happened at 2.07 pm today (March 22nd) in Cledford Lane, Middlewich.

A spokesperson from Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service said: "A person had fallen into a silo at an industrial premises in Middlewich.

"Firefighters removed the individual from the silo and they were passed on to the care of paramedics."
