A popular florist shop near Sandbach has closed after 10 years of trading – much to the sadness of its customers.

Holmes Chapel Flowers in London Road is now empty and the three storey retail unit up for let after the business shut up shop last week.

A notice in the shop window said: "We are sorry to announce that Holmes Chapel Flowers will cease trading on June 14th 2024.

"We would like to thank all our customers for their support over the past 10 years. With best wishes, Barbara."

The business has been a prominent fixture on the main road going through the village since it opened in 2014.

The business said it "specialised in personalised flower arrangements for all occasions" on it Facebook page.

Holmes Chapel resident, Bill Thomson, told Sandbach Nub News: "I went in that shop a fair few times, including for my wife's anniversary last year.

"It is sad the shop has closed. There was always a good selection of flowers. It always looked lovely in the shop window."
