Hospitality firm pays tribute to 'talented chef' who sadly lost his life in motorbike accident

The owners of The Blue Bell at Smallwood have issued a moving tribute to the 'talented chef' who sadly died in a motorbike accident.
And they have also made a donation to The Burnt Chef Project in his memory after the relatives of the former chef asked for donations to his favourite charity instead of flowers at his funeral.
Thirty-two year old Ross Boyle lost his life in the early hours of May 24th following a fatal collision in Ashley Close, Winterley involving a Lexmoto Valiant motorcycle as we revealed here .
Jake Pear, managing director of the Pear Hospitality Group, owners of The Blue Bell said: "We are heartbroken by the tragic passing of Ross Boyle, a talented chef and much-loved member of the Pear Hospitality team.
"Ross was a valued colleague at The Blue Bell, and had previously brought his passion and creativity to The Wheatsheaf.
"His dedication to his craft, warm personality, and infectious energy left a lasting impression on everyone who had the pleasure of working alongside him.

"Ross's untimely passing has deeply affected all of us. He was not only an exceptional chef, but also a dear friend to many—someone who made our kitchens brighter and our teams stronger.
"Our deepest condolences go out to Ross's family, friends, and loved ones. In his memory, his family is supporting The Burnt Chef Project, a charity that works to raise awareness and provide support for mental health in the hospitality industry—an issue that meant a great deal to Ross and to many in our profession.
"Pear Hospitality Group has made a donation to The Burnt Chef Project in Ross's name, and we encourage others to do the same in tribute to Ross's life, passion, and the positive impact he had on so many.

"Ross will be remembered not only for his culinary skill, but for his warmth, laughter, and generous spirit. He will be deeply missed by all of us."
Ross's funeral service takes place at Birches Crematorium next Thursday (June 19th) at 12 noon.
