Road in Sandbach closed while two sinkholes are investigated

Motorists need to find alternative routes this week while investigations take place into two sinkholes which have appeared in Crewe Road, Wheelock.

A section of the road is closed from 9.30 am until 2.30 pm every day this week until Friday while investigative work is carried out.

A highways spokesperson said: "Crewe road is closed 9.30 am until 2.30 pm from Monday (14 September) until Friday (18 September) to investigate subsidence."
