St Peter's Church in Elworth has relaunched its weekly coffee morning

A Sandbach church is reopening its coffee mornings and has re-branded the event in a bid to give it a new look.

St Peter's Church in Elworth held a weekly coffee morning on a Friday before the two lock downs.

Now it has rebranded the mornings, calling them "Coffee & Company," as well as introducing new signage.

And organisers are hoping to extend the menu so it includes breakfast items such as bacon baps alongside the regular homemade cakes.

They also plan to have members of the church on hand at the events to offer company and support for anyone attending on their own.

The first "Coffee & Company" morning takes place on Friday, April 22nd and organisers are busy planning the event.

Avid baker and a helper at "Coffee & Company", Carolyn Barker, is excited about the relaunch.

"It's a popular event and a great way of meeting new people. It's open to anyone and you can be certain of a very warm welcome," she said.

"Come along and have a hot drink and natter. It's a great opportunity to get involved in the local community and meet new people."
