There's some great things happening in Sandbach this weekend, with live rugby, a farmer's market, live music and pooch training.

Here are our top event picks for the coming days:

Saturday April 9th

With over 65 talented artisans, Sandbach Makers Market is coming to town on the Cobbles.

Expect your favourite treats from candles to cupcakes, butchers to dog collars and much more and there's even a glitter artist for the children.

There's live rugby with Sandbach RUFC. Time is nearly up for the 2021/22 season and there are only a couple more chances to see rugby at Bradwall Road until the summer break.

The 2nd XV take on Macclesfield Rugby Club whilst the 3rd XV take on Leek 2s and the 1st XV travel to Bromsgrove for their final game of the season.

In the evening, the Military Arms in Congleton Road has talented musician, Simon Kojo, at 7.20 pm.

Sunday, March 6th

If running is your passion, Sandbach Striders is a running club for all abilities based out of Sandbach Rugby Club on Bradwall Road.

They meet Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights and Sundays at 9.30 am the latter for a 'long slow run' to be confirmed.

Meanwhile there's training for pooches with Hoopers Workshops and Rhian and Heather from Barking Mad Dog Services at Dig it Dogs in Dubthorn Lane, Sandbach.

Six dogs for a 1.5 hour workshop. £25 per dog. Email [email protected]

In the afternoon, Sandbach Social Club has its six weekly meet-up.

Open to anyone this is a great group to get to know people in the town and socialise. Their six weekly meet-up takes place at 3pm at The George. If you've not met them go along - they will make you very welcome!.
