Sandbach's famous Transport Festival is just hours away and motorists are being urged to bear this in mind when travelling into the area.

The annual event takes place tomorrow (April 23rd) and Sunday (April 24th) alongside the Sandbach Roar Fringe Music Festival.

This year marks the 32nd anniversary of the event which honours Sandbach's famous links with truck manufacturers, Fodens and ERF, although for two of those years, Covid has prevented the event being held.

The Commons car park will be host to many and various vehicles from classic vintage cars, to the latest designs in new cars and there will be trucks of all sizes, tractors, motorcycles and military and emergency vehicles old and new.

The transport festival, first held in 1990, will feature the popular Spitfire plane as well as a host of other activities and vehicles. The event has sadly not taken place for the last two years due to the Covid pandemic.

And there will be music galore as well as vehicles. Tribute Coldplayer, in true likeness to Chris Martin, will be on the Cobbles' stage at 5 pm on Saturday while Roberts Bakery Band lead the traditional vehicle parade on Sunday as well as playing during the two-day event.
