A fun-packed day is planned tomorrow (Saturday)

Local democracy champion, Jackie Weaver, has also filmed a video specially for Sandbach Pride, urging everyone to "focus on love, progress and pride".

Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service's rainbow fire engine is making a visit to the event and will be on display for all to see and explore.

The event, which takes place from 11 am until 5 pm mostly in Sandbach Park, will be officially opened by Sandbach Town Mayor Councillor Kathryn Flavell following a service of celebration on Sandbach Cobbles at 10:30am.

The highlight of the day will be the parade at 1pm which will feature rainbow wings made by Sandbach Art Room.

"Sandbach Guides will also be there as well as health and well-being stalls from Mentell providing men's mental health support to Ashfields Primary Care Centre.

"There will be a selection of great food and drink from Blackwater & Grubb, Wildfire Pizza Company, Poppy's Ice Cream Bike and GroovinGourmet.

"There will also be children's entertainment within a dedicated kids zone which will include circus skills from circus trainer Peter Duncan and fun arts and crafts with Sue Guildford from Junk Art Creations

"Sandbach Art Room will be putting on a variety of activities throughout the day including adding to the rainbow wings ready for them to lead the Pride parade at 1pm.

"There will also be a chance to get glitter tattoos, bubbles and balloon modelling as well as a special appearance from Cheshire Fire and Rescue's rainbow fire engine.

"Taking to the stage will be an exciting variety of acts and performers from the Sandbach Stompers Line dancers who might well be dancing to a Pride anthem or two, as well as singer Jon Stevens, a performance from Sandbach Rock Choir and the crowning of some special Rainbow Queens along with music from much loved local DJ Wynn Adlington as well as much, much more.

"Don't forget also to have your photo with the beautifully designed and painted rainbow wings painted on the side of the market store on The Commons using the hashtag #sandbachrainbowwings

"From the start of planning for Sandbach Pride, the team wanted to create a community event for all of Sandbach to enjoy and that includes all from across the community, all different ages and backgrounds, creating a new fixture in the Sandbach events calendar."
