A 62-year-old father-of-one from Sandbach is recovering – after completing his month-long 15,000 steps a day for charity close to his heart.

Chartered surveyor, Paul Molley, from Hind Heath Road took on the MND January challenge for the motor neurone disease charity.

Motor Neurone Disease affects the brain and nerves, causing weakness that gets worse over time. There's no cure but there are various treatments to help reduce the impact.

Paul raised just over £1,250 for the MND Association – part of a total of close to £600,000 raised during January by all those taking part.

"Most of us have friends or family who have had or have MND. The onset is very quick and changes a person's life," said Paul previously.

"If I can have a little bit of pain to help those with MND it's nothing compared with what they are going through."
