A live music festival raising money for Patryk's Memorial Fund smashed all targets and hit the right notes both with organisers and concert goers.

Around £5,000 was raised at Sandbach Rock N Pop Festival at Sandbach RUFC in Bradwall Road at the weekend.

Festival goers danced the day away to a massive line up of 15 acts including Kylie, Robbie Williams, Paloma Faith, Billie Eilish plus Ibiza House DJ Jepo.

And festival organiser, Andy Milner, has said a big thank you to everyone who went along and supported the event.

He said: "There was certainly a great atmosphere and we hope you all enjoyed the music as much as we did.

"Thanks to all the fabulous artists who kept us all entertained and to our sponsors without whom the festival could not happen.

"All festival profits will go to Patryk's Memorial Fund, so again, thank you all very much for supporting this great event."

Now some of the money will be used to help fund coaching sessions for under privileged children using the skills of Sports Coaching North West.

Organisers of the festival have also provisionally pencilled in a date for early July for next year's festival.

Patryk was just seven years old when he died after losing consciousness at Offley Primary Academy in Sandbach in October 2020.

He was taken by air ambulance to Alder Hey Hospital where, despite the best efforts of medical staff who tried to revive him, he sadly lost his fight for life.
