A Sandbach cake maker to the stars is serving up coffee with a difference during the warmer weather and helping customers keep cool.

Innovative Lois's Little Cake & Chocolate Company in Crewe Road has twinned a hot drink with a mini ice cream cone.

Business owner Debbie Fenton said: "We always give a little treat with our hot drinks such as a Belgian chocolate.

"With the warmer weather coming, we decided to extend this with a mini ice cream.

"We're using pedi cones which are clipped on to the side of cups with in a special clip which we have bought.

"It's not a big ice cream but it's just a little treat to go with our drinks."

Lois is filling the mini cones with locally made vanilla or chocolate ice cream from Snugburys. "The locally made ice cream compliments our hot drinks perfectly," said Debbie. Lois's Little Cake & Chocolate Company opened for business at the weekend at its exciting new location – Crewe Road. The top cake maker launched the business – named after her daughter, Lois – in 2016. Their spectacular cakes have been made for the likes of Olympic gold medal winners Jason and Laura Kenny, Hollyoaks stars and even film makers. Sandbach Nub News told in February how the cake maker here. had made the ultimate Valentine's cake. The business launched its French-style patisserie serving artisan coffees and high-end tea when it moved to bigger premises in the town in November. Debbie said at the time: "We've tried to create something different for Sandbach. "More of a French-style tea room where people can come for a catch up and a piece of cake." Now coffee and tea lovers can have their cuppa with a cooling ice cream as well. Well done Lois's Little Cake & Chocolate Company for coming up with another great idea!
