Scaffolding is now down at Sandbach's historic Swan & Chequers pub - but the long-awaited reopening date has still not been announced.

Owners, Robinsons, has not released any new information about the famous historic pub in Hightown near Sandbach Town Hall.

The interior and outside of the pub looks like it's finished and would-be customers are eagerly waiting to visit the revamped pub which is tenanted.

Robinsons hasn't released any new details since May when it told Sandbach Nub News: "A new catering kitchen is being installed and there will be full refurbishment of trading areas.

"Design plans are to create a town centre bar that appeals to all demographics.
