Sandbach: residents told to hang fire on Afghan refugee donations

Cheshire East Council has reissued its plea asking people to hold fire on their Afghan refugee donations.

Cheshire East Council and the hotel where some are staying have been inundated with items and cannot store everything.

Councillor Kathryn Flavell, Cheshire East's Chair of Children and Families Committee told Sandbach Nub News: "Nothing is currently needed and staff are having to take time to deal with donations, taking them away from supporting the families. "
