A Sandbach hairdressing salon celebrated National Inclusion week in style by releasing two photographs showing how inclusive the business is.

Sisu – which literally means determination, perseverance and act of will – was opened in 2010 in Georges Walk by Sally Coles-Robertson.

Sally, managing director of Sisu, is passionate about inclusion and wanted to put the spotlight on National Inclusion Week which began on September 27th and finishes today (October 3rd).

She prides on running a salon with a "neurodiverse" policy which means the business employs anyone on the autistic spectrum.

Sally said: "It's important to employ creative minds as well as academics. Hairdressers are often totally underestimated in terms of intelligence.

"As a STEM ambassador, I teach in education and I have an eye to spot young entrepreneurs who eyes light up.

"Quite often creative minds are the people who think up crazy ideas and often these people are trampled on and told they can't proceed with their zany invention only to find it's been stolen by someone else.

"I see this time and time again. An inclusive workforce brings colour and happiness because it allows people to be free and be expressive."

Inclusion Week is held annually and is designed to celebrate everyday inclusion in all its forms, bringing organisations to celebrate and share inclusion practices
