Sandbach School and Sixth Form are celebrating "well-deserved" success on A-level results day, with students now looking forward to the next stage in their personal journey, either at university, on a higher or degree-level apprenticeship, or in employment.

Students at the Crewe Road educational facility have shown remarkable resilience, with Sandbach School and Sixth Form "proud" of their results.

Headteacher, Sarah Burns, told Nub News: "Staff and Governors would like to congratulate Sandbach School Sixth Form students on their achievements and the exemplary way they have represented the school.

"We would also like to thank parents for their ongoing support throughout this journey.

"Our Sixth Form students continue to contribute a wide range of talents and strengths that make our school community unique.

"Their dedication and hard work over the past two years have been rewarded with well-deserved success."

There have been many individual successes across the 2026 cohort.

On receiving his results, Head Boy, Xavier Harrison said: "It's been wonderful to see so many students achieve outstanding results and secure places at their first-choice universities and apprenticeships, reflecting all the hard work and dedication they have shown.

"I'd like to wish everyone every success in the future. I've thoroughly enjoyed my time at Sandbach School and am excited to begin the next chapter of my journey."

A wide range of subjects are being studied at many institutions, including Joseph Hingley, who will be reading Economics at the University of Bath; Aimee Bunn, who is studying History at King's College London; Oscar Vayro, who is heading to Manchester to study Medicine; and Luca Vayro, who will be reading English Literature at Durham University. Lydia Hunter has also secured a degree-level Accountancy apprenticeship with Siemens.

Sandbach School's most notable achievements include Xavier Harrison, Jack Tatham, Joseph Hingley, Travis McKay, Jensen Horton and Jobe Evanson, who all achieved an impressive combination of three or four A* and A grades.

Equally worthy of recognition are the results of Tyler Phillips, Zach Boschi, Abigail Bridges, Evan Fisher, Jacob Tidswell and Oliver Miller, who achieved a Distinction* and two Distinction grades in BTEC Business or BTEC Sport and Exercise Science.

Charlie Evett received offers from several prestigious conservatoires and is going on to study Percussion at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.

Rosie Janes is also in the process of auditioning for the Royal Army Band.
